What this site keeps about you

Nothing it can read back. This page says what happens when you open the site, so that you can check it against the page itself.

Who runs it

Counting House is a private house for artists, and for now it is a house before it is a company: the people building it publish this site, and the company that will stand behind it is not yet formed. Until it is, nothing here is an offer of a service, and nobody is asked to pay for anything through this site.

What is collected

The site is a set of static files: five pages, one stylesheet, one script, four fonts and some photographs. It sets no cookie. It has no form, no sign-in, no search and no newsletter. It loads nothing from any other domain: no analytics, no advertising pixel, no embedded video, no outside font. The one script on the page brings each section into view as you reach it and sends nothing anywhere. You can confirm each of these claims in your browser's network panel; the page's content security policy forbids it from contacting any origin but its own.

What the host sees

The files are served by a hosting provider. Like any web server, the provider's edge records the requests it answers, which includes the requesting address, the page asked for, the time and the browser's identification string, and keeps those records for the period its own terms state. We do not export, analyse or join those logs to anything.

Applications

An application to the house is not made through this site. It goes by introduction, to a person, and what you send is read by that person and kept only as long as it takes to reply. A shop set up in the house will hold its customers' records under that shop's own terms, published on the shop, and never shared with another shop in the house.

Your rights

Because the site keeps nothing about you, there is nothing to send you a copy of and nothing to erase. If you believe the site has recorded something about you regardless, say which page and what you saw, and a person will look at the deployment and answer in writing.

Questions

The house has no inbox of its own yet. Questions about this page go back to whoever sent you the link, and they reach us. A reply comes from a person, usually within two working days.

Changes

The date at the top changes when the text does. The site's source is a repository with a commit history, so a change to this page is a change somebody can see.
